McDonald's 'Secret Menu' Is Real, Manager Confirms
BOSTON (CBS) -- The "secret menu" at McDonald's is apparently more than just an urban legend.
A manager at a Mickey D's in Scotland confirmed its existence in a recent Reddit Q&A.
He says customers can mix and match any ingredients they want –- all they have to do is ask and be ready to pay for the add-ons.
One popular secret menu item he cited was "The Land, Air and Sea burger," which is a Big Mac, McChicken and Filet-O-Fish combined into one sandwich.
"The items on the 'secret menu' weren't invented by anyone officially at McDonald's, it's just a random person's guide to burgers you could potentially 'hack' at McDonald's," he wrote.
Last year, WBZ-TV did its own investigation into secret food menu items, and found that several chain restaurants in the area like Panera and Chipotle were happy to serve up customers' off-menu orders.
