Devin McCourty Suffers Separated Shoulder
BOSTON (CBS) - WBZ-TV has learned from multiple NFL sources that New England Patriots corner Devin McCourty suffered a separated right shoulder in the second quarter of New England's 37-16 victory over the New York Jets Sunday night.
It is unclear how much time McCourty will miss. NFL Network's Albert Breer is report McCourty will likely miss a couple weeks.
He will have additional tests done on the shoulder on Monday.
McCourty suffered the injury while covering New York receiver Plaxico Burress.
Safety Sterling Moore came in on the play to deliver a hit on Burress, but went helmet-to-helmet with McCourty instead.

The Patriots corner remained on the ground while receiving help from the team's trainers.
He walked off under his own power, but was taken to the locker room.
McCourty was seen holding his shoulder on the way and did not return to the game.
The Patriots secondary was already thin at the start of the game, with safety Patrick Chung inactive with an ankle injury.
Moore, a rookie signed off the practice squad, was making his first career start in place of Chung.
Antwaun Molden took McCourty's place at corner.
