MBTA's Motorcycle Unit Suspended
BOSTON (CBS) -- The MBTA police tells WBZ-TV all eight officers on the T's motorcycle unit will be suspended for one day without pay.
This follows an I-Team report that officers were taking money directly from funeral home operators in return for police escorts.
Chief Paul McMillan tells Joe Shortsleeve that MBTA officers are no longer ever allowed to perform funeral escorts with T equipment.
