MBTA: Plan For Commuter Line Delays
BOSTON (CBS) – The MBTA says commuters should expect delays throughout the day Monday because of damage caused by the weekend storm.
Transportation Secretary Richard Davey said 23 trains had been delayed by at least five minutes by late morning.

Worcester/Framingham
CSX, the freight company that controls all movement of trains on the Worcester/Framingham line, has reported that increased freight traffic is expected between Worcester and Boston as the result of re-opening the line after a 36-hour shutdown.
This situation will create potential for service delays of up to 30 minutes.
Fitchburg
Continued power outages on the Fitchburg line will affect service on the line.
An eight-mile segment of track between Ayer and Fitchburg is under a 20-mile-per-hour speed restriction due to signal failures linked to the power outage and fallen signal wires.
This situation will create potential for service delays of up to 40 minutes.
Haverhill
The Haverhill line will be impacted a signal failure in due to a downed wire in Haverhill.
This situation will create potential for service delays of up to 30 minutes.
MBCR crews expect that repairs on all lines will be completed by evening peak service.
The MBCR says commuters should also pay attention to T Alerts, LED message boards and social media streams, such as @MBCR and @MBTAgm.
The MBTA said there were no major weather-related problems with trolley and subway services Monday.
