MBTA Offers Monthly Parking Permits For Commuters
BOSTON (AP) - Commuters can now buy monthly parking permits from the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority.
The permits cost $70 -- $10 less than for commuters who pay the $4 daily fee to park in MBTA lots five days a week for four weeks each month.
The permit offers unlimited parking for one calendar month. Commuters must choose one parking lot to park at all month.
The permits can be purchased online. Once applications are approved and payment is received, permits will be e-mailed to commuters, who can then print them out and place them on their dashboards every time they park.
The permits do not guarantee a parking spot. Commuters will still have to find a spot at their local lots.
