MBTA Bus Drivers In 'Road Rage' Incident Suspended
BOSTON (CBS) - Two MBTA bus drivers have been suspended with pay for their roles in an alleged road rage incident Tuesday night in Chelsea.
"This is not conduct becoming of a T employee," said Richard Davey, the MBTA general manager.
Chelsea police said Hazel Cannon pulled her bus alongside another bus driven by Kokou Agnonon, and the two began arguing before 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Both buses then started driving through a narrow passage, during which a Chelsea police cruiser was almost hit.
"I've asked for a swift investigation, which I expect to have a recommendation on that investigation by the end of the week," said Davey.
Davey spoke to WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Carl Stevens on Wednesday:

Chelsea police officers were able to stop both buses near city hall and remove the drivers. They were cited for operating to endanger and reckless operation.
Davey said Cannon and Agnonon, have only worked for the T for a short time.
"We have 6,000 men and women that work at the MBTA who do a heck of a job every day. When you hear about one or two knuckleheads, they don't represent the best of our employees," said Davey.
