The teams worked through the night to repair a 30-inch water main at the intersection of Chandler and May Streets near Worcester State University.

The break led to a shutdown of the system Monday. It services the entire city of 180,000 people.

Residents are still urged to boil their water as it returns until further notice.

Worcester's schools started with a two-hour delay Tuesday because of the water issue.
