Massachusetts Well-Represented In New College Rankings
BOSTON (CBS) - Ten Massachusetts colleges and universities rank in the top 100 of this year's U.S. News and World Report rankings.
Harvard University again ranks at or near the top of the list, coming in tied for first with Princeton University.
As for the rest of the list, MIT is fifth, Tufts University is tied for 29th (with the University of North Carolina), and Boston College and Brandeis University are tied for 31st.

Boston University checked in tied for 51st with Fordham University, followed by Northeastern University and Worcester Polytechnic Institute (both tied at No. 62 with four other schools), and Clark University and UMass Amherst (both tied at No. 94 with one other school),
As for liberal arts colleges, Williams College is No. 1, followed closely by Amherst College. Wellesley is No. 6 with Smith, Holy Cross, and Mount Holyoke all making it in the top 30.
