Mass. Cleans Up From Spring Blast Of Snow
BROCKTON (CBS) - Shoveling after a blast of snow is not the sounds of spring most people dream about.
"It's awful," one man said.
"Everyone is in denial," Tony Pires said.
Forget the shorts and sandals; pull out the shovels and gloves.
Brian Henderson was shoveling his driveway Monday night. "Snow is pretty awful," he said. "We should be out here in shorts and a nice hot shirt. Nice glass of iced tea."
Instead of baseball and lacrosse, the fields in Brockton sit silent. They are covered in snow with no sports to be found. The only activity WBZ found was a landlord getting his workout by shoveling his property.

"My plow guy already unhooked his plow," Pires said.
Plow drivers WBZ found seem to agree that the season is over.
"I'm ready for spring," plow driver Joh Toomey says. "I work outside so I'm ready for spring."
The only way to face the unwanted return of winter is with hope and optimism that April can't possibly be worse than December, can it?
