Heavy Rain Throughout Massachusetts Causes Flooding Issues
BOSTON (CBS) – Several inches of rain fell throughout Massachusetts on Wednesday, causing flooding issues in cities and towns.
Among the roads flooded was Route 9 in Framingham, which is impacted at Route 126.

In that area, a car could be seen surrounded by water that rose above the vehicle's tires.
Police urged drivers to seek an alternate route during the flooding. The road was reopened just after 1 p.m.
Flood waters also rose in Newton on Interstate 95 South. Drivers were forced to splash through several inches of standing water.
Wednesday's flooding issues were not limited to the roads.
The inbound tracks at the Natick Commuter rail were covered by water, a recurring issue during storms.
Passengers were forced to move to the outbound platform to board, though trains remained on schedule.
Rain remains in the forecast for the next several days.
