Massachusetts Googled 'Dad Bod' More Than Any Other State, Report Says
BOSTON (CBS) -- What were Bay State residents Googling in 2015? From the serious to the silly, a look at the top search terms in Massachusetts compared to other states turns up some pretty interesting results.
Real estate website "Estately" analyzed Google Trends from the past year to figure out "what people in each state searched for more with more frequency than people in any other state."
In Massachusetts, some of the top news searches compared to other states included the Republican primary, opioid addiction and dependence and Charlie Hebdo, the satirical magazine in Paris targeted in a deadly terror attack this year.
Citizens of the Commonwealth also kept up to date on TV shows and celebrities, with top searches including "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt," Inside Amy Schumer," "Game Of Thrones" character Jon Snow and comedian John Oliver.
And for some reason, people in Massachusetts were more curious about the "dad bod" phenomenon than anywhere else in the country. The Online Slang Dictionary defines "dad bod" as "a slightly overweight body commonly associated with fathers."
