Mass. Woman Found After Three Days In Oregon Mountains
BOSTON (CBS) - A Holliston woman has been found after she was missing for three days in the Oregon mountains.
28-year-old Pamela Salant was hiking in the Mount Hood National Forest with her boyfriend on Saturday.
The two were separated while looking for a camping spot.
He reported her missing the next day, and that's when rescue crews launched an air and ground search.
Finally, a helicopter spotted her Tuesday morning, wading in a stream and waving. A Blackhawk helicopter took her to a hospital in Portland.

She is listed in serious condition, but is expected to make a full recovery.
Salant was an experienced hiker and her family believes that helped a great deal in her survival.
"Big giant relief," said Pamela's father, Martin Salant, when he and his wife got the news their daughter was found safe. "First relief we've had in 48 hours," added Jane Salant.
The news marks the end of an agonizing wait for the Salants, who found out Sunday that their daughter was missing. "As time goes by, your hopes start dwindling more and more," said Jane Salant.
Now the family is waiting to find out when and where they can see Pamela, who's recovering in an Oregon hospital. "We'd like to hear it from her mouth. We want to know how she survived, because she had no food for all that time," said her mother.
What will they do when they see her? "Big hug, big family hug," said Jane Salant.
