Truck Crash Shuts Down Mass. Pike In Palmer
PALMER (CBS) - The Mass. Pike In Palmer was shut down after a flatbed truck crashed and caught on fire Tuesday morning.
The eastbound side was shut down briefly for firefighter crews to extinguish the fire, and reopened around 2 p.m.
The westbound lanes were reopened by 7:30 p.m.
The truck, which was hauling concrete, caught on fire following the crash; flames spread to the woodline and drainage system adjacent to the highway.
No injuries have been reported. The Massachusetts State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
