Mass. Investigators In Florida For Molly Bish, Holly Piirainen Cases
BOSTON (CBS) - Massachusetts State Police have questioned a person of interest in the murder of Molly Bish, a teenager from Warren who disappeared 12 years ago.
Rodney Stanger is in prison in Florida on unrelated charges.
According to the CBS station in Springfield, the Hampden District Attorney's Office has also sent an investigator to Florida, looking for information related to Holly Piirainen's murder.
The 10-year-old from Grafton was kidnapped and killed in 1993.
Piirainen went for a walk near her grandparents' house in Sturbridge and never returned. Her remains were found in the woods in Brimfield two months later.
Bish, 16, was abducted from her lifeguard post at Comins Pond in Warren in June 2000. Her body was found three years later in a wooded area in Palmer.
There have been no arrests in either case.
Stanger is convicted of killing his girlfriend in 2008.
