Mass. Gas Prices Up 24 Cents Since Last Month
BOSTON (CBS/AP) — Massachusetts gas prices are up for the 11th consecutive week.
AAA Southern New England reports Monday that self-serve, regular has jumped another nickel and now averages $3.73 per gallon.

The current price is 24 cents more than a month ago and 29 cents higher than at the same time last year.
Sen. Scott Brown said Monday he has some ideas on how to drive down the cost.
"We need to have an energy plan and wind, solar, nuclear, hydro, geothermal, coal, conservation, siting, permuting. When we're looking at something like the Keystone pipeline, another tool in the tool box, not the whole answer, we have the ability to do just that," he said.
New energy sources developed in the U.S. could mean more jobs in the future, Sen. Brown said.
"We could actually be an exporter of energy, not only would we create great great jobs, we actually could use that money to pay down our debt and deficit," said Sen. Brown.

The price in Massachusetts is three cents below the national average.
AAA found self-serve, regular selling for as low as $3.60 and as high as $3.89.
