Mass. Gas Prices Up For 10th Consecutive Week

BOSTON (AP) — The cost of a gallon of gas in Massachusetts is following the national trend and rising dramatically.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Karen Twomey reports.

AAA Southern New England announced Monday that self-serve, regular jumped eight cents in the past week to an average of $3.68 per gallon. It was the tenth consecutive week of higher prices.

The latest price is a penny below the national average for the same grade, 21 cents more than a month ago and 38 cents more than at the same time last year.

AAA found self-serve, regular as low as $3.56 and as high as $3.91.
