Mass. Gas Prices Up 31 Cents In Two Weeks
BOSTON (CBS) – For the second week in a row, there's been a huge increase in gasoline prices in Massachusetts.
According to the latest AAA Southern New England survey, a gallon of self-serve, regular unleaded is now $3.44.
That's up 14 cents in the last week and 31 cents in the last two weeks.
The national average is currently $3.50.
A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average was $2.68, 76 cents lower than the current average.

The range in prices in the latest survey is 36 cents, from a low of $3.33 to a high of $3.69.
At this rate, AAA's Mary Maguire told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 they're looking at the possibility of hitting an average of $3.75 by Memorial Day weekend.

Is $4 a gallon a possibility?
"You have to remember back in the summer of 2008 we hit the historical high of $4.08 a gallon in mid-July of 2008. We have a long way to go before we get to that point," Maguire said.
