Mass. Gas Prices Down 10 Cents In Month
BOSTON (CBS/AP) — Massachusetts gas prices continue to drop, but remain well above the national average.

AAA Southern New England reports Tuesday that its weekly survey found self-serve, regular selling for an average of $3.28 per gallon, 2 cents lower than last week.
The national average is $3.17 per gallon.
Mary Maguire, a spokeswoman for AAA Southern New England, said this is the lowest national average since Feb. 22, 2011.
The in-state, per-gallon price is now a dime lower than a month ago and 33 cents lower than at the same time last year.
AAA found self-serve, regular selling for as low as $3.09 per gallon and as high as $3.55.
"That $3.09 is probably the product of a discount program that we see at a number of retailers, whether it be service stations that offer their own discount plans," Maguire told WBZ NewsRadio 1030. "Some of the supermarket deals can really lower numbers significantly."
