Mass. Docs Produce New Brochures To Help Parents Deal With Youth Issues
WALTHAM, Mass. (AP) — The Massachusetts Medical Society has produced a series of brochures to help parents deal with topics related to youth violence.
The series includes brochures on protecting children from sexual abuse, preventing bullying, dating violence, and other issues.
Dr. Robert Sege, who conceived the brochures, said the idea is to reach beyond the doctor's office to provide practical information for parents and those who care for children. He says children's health care providers must be allies for parents as they try to keep their children safe.
The brochures can be downloaded on the Massachusetts Medical Society website. They are part of the society's Campaign Against Violence, co-sponsored by the Massachusetts Medical Society Alliance
