March Madness Fans Take Over Boston
BOSTON (CBS) - Boston is basketball town this weekend. First the NCAA Sweet Sixteen and then the Elite Eight go at it Saturday at the Garden. That has thousands of fans descending on Causeway Street.
The Greater Boston Convention and Visitors Bureau estimates all those visitors will pump an estimated 22 million dollars into the local economy.
The Fours pub is one of many cashing in.
"The weather helps too because you know everyone's excited, feeling good and business-wise it's been great, just a continued event day after day," says manager Mark Swirbalus.
The last time Boston got in on the March Madness was back in 2009.
