Marblehead Lifts Ban On Fishing From Public Piers
MARBLEHEAD (CBS) -- Marblehead is lifting its ban on fishing from waterfront docks.
Last month, the I-Team reported the town had banned fishing off the public piers.
Town leaders said the piers were getting too crowded but some people believed the ban was racist.
Most of the fishermen were Cambodian and did not live in Marblehead.
A Facebook page was created to urge town officials to lift the ban.
Though the ban has been lifted, the town is going to restrict how many people can fish and where they can gather.
