Marathon Bombing Survivors Split On Whether To Go To Tsarnaev Arraignment
BOSTON (CBS) -- The survivors of the Boston Marathon bombing have been invited to Federal court to see the man accused of planting the bombs at the finish line.
Survivors and their families told WBZ-TV, they are split over whether or not they want to go.
With a prosthetic for his battered right leg almost ready, JP Norden won't be wasting his energy on the accused bomber's arraignment.
His mother though, wants a front row seat and some elusive answers for what happened on Boylston Street that day.
"I think it's important for me to be there," Liz Norden said. "This destroyed my family. I know I have a lot of questions that will never be answered but for my piece of mind, it's what I want to do."
Both of her sons lost legs in the blast and she has watched them struggle with things that used to be simple.
Son Paul didn't want to talk about it, even as older brother JP doubted any court proceedings will help him make sense of the Tsarnaev brothers Jihad against innocent bystanders.
But their mother want to look into the eyes of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
JP says the physical scars are forever but he will not allow anger - or hate - to derail the rest of his life.
