Many Mass. Democrats Switched To Republican Party Ahead Of Super Tuesday
BOSTON (CBS) -- Massachusetts Secretary of State Bill Galvin told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Carl Stevens that he's seen a lot of the state's registered Democrats leave the party and become unenrolled ahead of the Super Tuesday primary--and that some voters had gone even further.
"In fact, we've seen a significant number of people leaving the Democratic party and joining the Republican party," said Galvin.

Galvin said he is predicting a big Republican turnout at the polls Tuesday. As for the Democrats, consultant Michael Goldman said there had better be a big turnout if Bernie Sanders hopes to win.
"The bigger the turnout, the better it is, really, for Bernie Sanders, I think, here," said Goldman. "That means new voters, younger voters, are participating."
The latest WBZ-TV, WBZ NewsRadio 1030, UMass Amherst poll shows the Democratic race neck-and-neck; on the Republican side, it could be a very big day for Donald Trump.
