Mansfield Man Charged With Receiving Child Pornography
MANSFIELD (CBS) - A Mansfield man was charged Tuesday in federal court with receiving child pornography.
Gerald Deneault, 45, who police say was previously convicted in Massachusetts of indecent assault and battery on a child under the age of 14, was arrested at home Tuesday morning.
Police say Deneault received child pornography from a Canadian company on a number of occasions from June 2008 through February 2011.
Based on an investigation of the Canadian company, federal officers identified Deneault as being a recipient of child pornography.
During a search of his home, federal officers say they seized child pornography, including computers and DVDs.
If convicted, Deneault faces a minimum mandatory sentence of 15 years and up to 40 years in prison.
