Man's Body Pulled From Southwick Lake

SOUTHWICK (AP) - Divers have recovered the body of a 22-year-old man who went missing in a Southwick lake over the weekend.

Police in a statement did not formally identify the body that was pulled from Middle Pond of Congamond Lakes early Monday afternoon. But police in Suffield, Conn., had earlier identified the missing man as Larry Cauley.

He was a member of the Hill family of Suffield that was once featured on the TV show "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."

Police said the man was about 200 feet from shore when he fell or jumped from a pontoon boat at about 1 a.m. Sunday morning. Three other people on the boat jumped into the water in an unsuccessful attempt to rescue the man.

Divers searched the pond near the Connecticut border Sunday and again on Monday before recovering the body in about 30 feet of water.
