Close Call For Pavement Grinder In Roslindale

BOSTON (CBS) --- A pavement grinder operator had a close call in Roslindale Wednesday afternoon.

The private contractor out of Somerset was shredding the road on Symmes Street when his machine hit an underground cable.

The cable electrified the machine, leaving the driver trapped inside.

NStar was called in to shut the power off so the driver could get out.

No one was hurt.

But 15 customers were forced to go without power temporarily.
