Manchester United To Play Revolution At Gillette
BOSTON (CBS) - The New England Revolution will be taking on the world's most famous soccer team at Gillette Stadium this summer.
The Revs and Manchester United will play as part of the 2011 World Football Challenge Wednesday July 13, at 8 p.m.
"We've very pleased to invite Manchester United to Gillette Stadium to play the Revolution," Revolution Investor/Operator Jonathan A. Kraft said. "Man U is one of the biggest names in the sports world. Not only is this a great opportunity for Revolution and New England soccer fans to see a world power in person, but it's also a tremendous opportunity for all sports fans in New England to witness such a major and memorable event."
Manchester United currently leads the Barclay's Premier League.

There will be a three-stage ticket schedule used for the event.
New and current Revolution season ticket holders will have the opportunity to purchase tickets starting on Monday, April 4. Multiple-game packages, including the Manchester United match, will go on sale to the public on Tuesday, April 12. Individual tickets to the match, which start at $50, will go on sale to the public on Saturday, April 23.

The World Football Challenge will feature teams from MLS and top leagues around the world. Barcelona FC has also been confirmed for the event.
