Manchester, NH Police Officer Shot Multiple Times
MANCHESTER, NH (CBS) - A Manchester Police officer was shot multiple times Wednesday evening. The officer was responding to an incident on the west side of the city and a confrontation took place.
An officer on scene tells WBZ that there was a foot pursuit, and the officer was shot. Several officers were involved in the incident but only one was injured.
The officer sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital. The officer underwent surgery at Catholic Medical Center where there was a heavy police presence Wednesday night.
The officer is in serious but stable condition.
The officer's identity is not being released and there have been no arrests.
The Manchester Police Department, together with the NH Attorney General's Office and the Hillsborough County Attorney's Office, are investigating the incident.
