Cable Box Explodes After Manchester-By-The-Sea Home Struck By Lightning
MANCHESTER-BY-THE-SEA (CBS) – A Manchester-by-the-Sea home was struck by lightning during a storm Wednesday, causing a fire and a cable box explosion.
It happened just after 9 p.m. on Old Essex Road.
Firefighters opened one corner of the home's exterior and flames were contained within about an hour.
The residents were forced to evacuate their home due to the smoke.
