Man With Ski Mask & Bike Pump Mistaken For Gunman In Boston
BOSTON (CBS) - The report of a "person with a gun" wearing a mask on Mass. Ave. in Boston on Wednesday morning was a false alarm, according to Boston police.
Police responded to the scene at around 11 a.m. after someone spotted the man walking into a building.
Soon after, officers tracked down the suspect, who had a ski mask and was carrying a bicycle pump in his backpack. He was then sent for a mental evaluation.
Officers then deemed there was no viable threat.
