Man Shot Near Dorchester Polling Location
BOSTON (CBS) – A man was seriously injured during a Tuesday night shooting that took place not far a Dorchester polling site on Election Day.
Police were called to Dorchester Ave. and Richmond Street in Dorchester around 5 p.m. for a report of a man who was shot. The location is close to Lower Mills Library, which is a voting location.
An ambulance responded to the scene and transported the man to Boston Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Boston police said no one is in custody yet following the shooting.
Officers were called to a second shooting at about 7:30 p.m. in Dorchester.
During the second incident, a person was shot at a convenience store on Dorchester Ave.
No further details on the second shooting are currently available.
