Man Shot, Killed At Dock After Boston Harbor Cruise

BOSTON (CBS) - A night out on Boston Harbor ended tragically early Monday morning.

A man who had been on a harbor cruise aboard the Viking Starliner was shot around 2:20 a.m., shortly after the ship had pulled into dock on Northern Avenue.

"Detectives are investigating the possibility that an altercation occurred on the ship," Boston Police said in a statement.

WBZ-TV's Bill Shields reports

The unidentified 24-year-old man from New York was rushed to Tufts Medical Center where he died.

Two groups, the Hitmakers and Coke Boys from Boston and Lawrence had advertised the party on line.

Police are interviewing witnesses but there have been no arrests.
