Man Shot By Merrimack, NH Police Responding To Threat Call Has Died, Officials Say
MERRIMACK, N.H. (CBS/AP) -- A man allegedly armed with a knife who was critically wounded by a Merrimack police officer responding to a domestic disturbance call has died, New Hampshire officials say.
In a statement released Saturday, authorities say 23-year-old Harrison Lambert was shot during the encounter on Thursday outside a Joppa Road home.
The information released by police and the attorney general's office does not indicate whether Lambert threatened or lunged at police before he was shot.
Officials say Lambert was shot five times.
He died Friday evening.
A medical examiner conducted an autopsy on Saturday afternoon, determining the cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds.
The manner of death was ruled a homicide, authorities say.
