Man Found Seriously Hurt, Unconscious At South End Bus Stop
BOSTON (CBS) -- A man was found seriously hurt and unconscious at a South End bus stop late Thursday night after apparently being assaulted, Boston Police said.
Officers were called to the East Lenox and Washington streets area around 11:30 p.m. They found the man laying next to a bench at the Silver Line bus stop, and it appeared he was suffering from a head injury, police say.
He was rushed by ambulance to Boston Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. His current condition is unknown.
Witnesses told police they saw a woman going through the man's pockets while they were on the bus. They saw her run through Ramsay Park toward Shawmut Avenue, police said.
The suspect is described as a white woman in her late 30s-to-early 40s, with black hair. She also was seen wearing a hooded gray sweatshirt, black pants, and white sneakers.
As of Friday morning, no arrests had been made.
No additional information was immediately available.
