Man Found Unconscious Was Apparently Struck By Lightning

WINTHROP (CBS) - A man found unconscious on a walking trail on Deer Island may have been struck by lightning.

State Police troopers responded to the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority property after a cell phone caller reported finding the man.

WBZ-TV's Paul Burton reports

The Winthrop Fire Department also responded.

The victim was transported to Mass General Hospital where he is in critical condition.

An investigation is ongoing.
