Neighbor Tries In Vain To Save Man From Burning Attleboro Home
ATTLEBORO (CBS) - A neighbor's desperate attempt to save a man from an early morning fire at a home in Attleboro Monday failed.
It started around 12:45 a.m. when flames broke out in the house on Woodstock Road.

Neighbor Scott Cameron and his son-in-law tried to save the victim by placing a ladder against the back deck of the home, but he was unable to get to him because the flames were too intense.
"It felt like he was right near there. It was really hard to see. We were screaming for him," Cameron told WBZ-TV.
"The flames were pouring out of there, we couldn't get inside. I was afraid to open the door because I thought the flames were going to come flying out and then we heard a couple of really loud explosions."
Cameron said the deck then caught on fire.
"It was pretty frustrating."
The victim, identified by neighbors as Chris Turley, was in his 30's. He was apparently too disoriented to make it out safely.
His two dogs survived.
There's no word yet on what caused the fire, but authorities say it is not considered suspicious.
Damage is estimated at $100,000.
Turley lived in the home with his mother, according to neighbors. She was out of town during the fire.
