Man Charged With Assault On Bridgewater State Student
BRIDGEWATER (CBS) - Bridgewater State University police have arrested a man and charged him with making unwanted sexual advances toward a female student and inappropriately touching her, according to a university press statement released Saturday night.
Police arrested the unidentified man on Friday afternoon.
He has been charged with indecent assault and battery and assault and battery following the alleged incident on April 16 on campus.
The man is an employee of the university's contracted food-service provider Sodexo.
The company placed him on administrative leave.
The student, who allegedly knows the suspect, reported the incident Friday morning to the university's Title IX coordinator and BSU police.
He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance and is slated for arraignment Tuesday at Brockton District Court.
