Man Charged With Drunk Driving In Fatal Weymouth Crash
WEYMOUTH (CBS) – A driver was allegedly driving drunk when he crashed early Sunday morning in Weymouth, killing his passenger.
At around 5:15 a.m., 25-year-old Matthew Murray of Weymouth was driving near Commercial Street and Harding Avenue when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed.
WBZ-TV's Paul Burton reports.
The passenger, 25-year-old April Ivil, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Murray was transported to South Shore Hospital, where he was charged with motor vehicle homicide while operating under the influence of alcohol, among other violations.
Another man inside the vehicle was treated at South Shore Hospital for minor injuries.
Murray is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges Monday morning at Quincy District Court.
