Man Charged In Stabbing Outside NH Nightclub
MANCHESTER, N.H. (CBS) -- A Nashua, New Hampshire man is facing charges after he allegedly stabbed another man multiple times near a Manchester nightclub early Saturday morning.
Officers happened to be in the area investigating another call when the stabbing occurred outside of Club ManchVegas on Old Granite Street around 1:21 a.m.
Police say the fight that led up to the stabbing involved several people, including some who knew one another. The assault appears to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public, investigators say.
Officers found a 31-year-old man who was suffering from stab wounds, and they provided first aid to him. He was rushed to Elliot Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Shane Velez, 25, was arrested and charged with first-degree assault and falsifying physical evidence. He will appear in court on Monday.
