Man Charged In Fairhaven Hit And Run Crash
FAIRHAVEN (CBS) – Police are investigating what appears to be a deadly hit and run on Francis Street in Fairhaven Friday night.
Fairhaven Police received a 911 call around 11:45 p.m. Friday night about a man lying in the street.
Emergency responders say the victim, a Fairhaven man, was dead when they arrived.
He is not yet being identified.
The alleged driver, Richard Martinez, 33, of New Bedford, turned himself into police a few hours later.
He was charged Saturday with leaving the scene of a deadly accident.
His truck was seized as evidence.
