Danny says he pulled his Mercedes over to send a text message and Tamerlan Tsarnaev jumped in and showed a gun.
"He asked me a question like do you know the Boston Explosion on Monday?" Danny told Miller. "I said, 'yes.' He said, 'you know, I did that. And I just killed a policeman in Cambridge.'"
Tamerlan's younger brother, Dzhokhar, was following behind in another car and eventually loaded their remaining bombs into Danny's car.
Danny managed to escape and called police who caught up with the suspects in Watertown.
"What I was doing was trying to save myself," he told Miller. "The police, they are the hero. They exchange gunfire with the bad guys. I think they are the heroes."
