Man Arrested In Mattapan Mother's Murder
BOSTON (CBS) - Police have arrested a Roxbury man in connection with the death of a woman in Mattapan last month.
Eldrick Broom, 27, is charged with murder in the death of 34-year-old Rosanna Camilo.
Late in November, Camilo's teenage daughter came home to Fairlawn Apartments to find her mother dead and one-year-old brother alive. Police said the baby had been by his mother's body for hours.
Camilo had been strangled and sexually assaulted, authorities said.
Authorities said Broom had access to Camilo's apartment building through an associate who lived there until shortly before Camilo's death.
Broom is set to be arraigned on Friday in Dorchester District Court.
