Man And Dog Killed By Car During Walk In Easton
EASTON (CBS) – A man and his dog were both killed while on a walk in Easton Monday morning.
Fire Capt. James Walsh told WBZ-TV the man was walking his dog on Summer Street around 9:20 a.m. when they were struck by an Infiniti sedan.

The 17-year-old driver was the only person in the car. He was taken to Brockton Hospital, but the extent of his injuries is not yet known.
It's not clear if the victim was in the street or on the sidewalk at the time of the crash.
At first, Rosemarie McGowan thought it was a blown transformer from storms in the area.
The crash happened directly in front of her house.
"I was pretty devastated. I wish I could have done more but seeing that his injuries were so severe there really wasn't very much I could do," McGowan said.
Two doors down, Dorothy Porter was sure someone hit her mailbox, which would have been the fifth time this year.
"They hit and knock it down and drive off," Porter said. "But the people drive down the curve and I swear 60 miles an hour or more."
Porter and other neighbors told WBZ-TV the sidewalks are relatively new and they get a lot of use.
But Monday's accident wasn't the first time the neighborhood has seen a bad accident.
"A year ago, someone had a car accident actually right at that telephone poll. A bunch of neighbors had to come and help take him out of his car," McGowan said.
Police won't yet say what caused the driver to loose control, but every neighbor WBZ-TV spoke with said they hope this tragedy gets others to slow down.
The Bristol County District Attorney's Office will determine if charges will be filed in the investigation.
No names have been released.
