Malcolm Subban Engages In Goalie Fight As Providence Bruins Tussle With Hartford Wolf Pack
BOSTON (CBS) - Montreal Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban is well aware of the intensity the Boston Bruins take to the ice. As one of the team's biggest rivals, he's experienced all of that first hand.
Now, his younger brother Malcolm is getting a feel for it, even in the minors.
Fans attending Sunday's Providence Bruins-Hartford Wolf Pack game in Providence were treated to the rare "goalie fight," as Subban and Hartford netminder Scott Stajcer skated to mid-ice and exchanged blows in the third period. The Bruins' first-round pick in the 2012 NHL Draft was shutting out the Wolf Pack (the AHL affiliate for the New York Rangers) in a very chippy game when he and Stajcer decided to join the tussling.

While neither looked like skilled fighters in the video, they were both willing combatants -- a rare sight between goaltenders. After the tussle was done, they each gave each other a little congratulatory tap on the check.
Both goaltenders received game misconducts, fighting majors and a minor penalty for leaving the crease, and watched the rest of the tilt from the dressing room as Providence came out on top 6-0.
A total of 167 penalty minutes were dished out, including seven fighting majors, in the game.
