Rob Gronkowski To Be Featured On Madden '17 Cover
BOSTON (CBS) – Is there such a thing as the Madden curse? Patriots fans may find out this year.
Superstar tight end Rob Gronkowski will be the cover athlete for the 2017 version of the popular video game, EA Sports announced on Thursday.
EA Sports revealed the game's cover, which includes Gronkowski performing his signature spike.
Gronkowski was a finalist for the cover of Madden '16, but the honor went instead to Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
Superstitious fans may cringe upon seeing Gronkowski on the cover.
Since the game was first created, several cover athletes have suffered injuries or other misfortunes.
Madden isn't the only cover Gronkowski found his way onto recently. The tight end is also the star of the June issue of GQ.
