Man Shot Dead In Rented Multi-Million Dollar Lynnfield Home
LYNNFIELD (CBS) -- A Randolph man was killed in a shooting at a house party in Lynnfield early Sunday morning.
Keivan Heath, 33, was taken to Lynn Union Hospital Sunday morning, where he was later pronounced dead.
Lynnfield Police responded to the shooting at a mansion on Needham Road around 3 a.m. Sunday. The property, which is listed for sale for $3.5 million, was being rented on AirB&B for the weekend. The renter threw a party, according to neighbors.
One neighbor told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Karyn Regal the party had started around 11 a.m. Saturday.
"Some girls in bikinis walking by, where they came from I have no idea," said the neighbor. "No one seemed to be of the neighborhood. It's always been very safe."
The neighbor said they saw several cars come to the house, and said the party-goers appeared to be college-aged.
"The house is generally speaking better than I expected, but it's definitely a big mess," homeowner Alex Styller said.
For years, Styller has rented out the home on the weekends.
"I've been renting for a long time and I've had nothing but extremely positive experience from people who rent the house," he said.
Styller said the renters were middle aged from South Boston and had contacted him about 3 months ago to rent the place.
"It's just a shame that someone had to lose their life," said the neighbor.
There have not yet been any arrests in connection with the shooting. Massachusetts State Police detectives, Lynnfield Police, and the Essex County District Attorney's office are investigating.
