Lynn Deli Owner Gives Out Free Thanksgiving Meals For 21st Year
LYNN (CBS) – George Markos, owner of Brothers Deli in Lynn, has proved provided free Thanksgiving meals for anyone who walks in the door for more than 20 years.
He continued that gracious tradition Thursday for people with no place to go or no food to eat on the holiday.

"I think it's the best day of the year," he told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Carl Stevens.
Markos and a team of volunteers worked through the night preparing the meals, which included 192 turkeys.
Markos started the event back in 1993.
He said it's simply about giving back to his community.
"It's worth it because if you come and see the people that come through here and the faces… everybody's so happy to be in one place, people became one big family," he said.
