Lowell's Rynne Beach Closed Due To High Bacteria Levels
LOWELL (CBS) -- With temperatures in the 90s today, many people will be looking for relief--but at least one area beach is closed Wednesday.
Due to high levels of bacteria in the Merrimack River, Rynne Beach in Lowell has been closed until further notice, the City of Lowell said Tuesday.
The city is creating some reprieve, though--they are opening up misting stations in the area of the beach Wednesday and Thursday between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
