Lowell police probe fatal stabbings of 2 women
Authorities have identified one of two women found fatally stabbed in Lowell.
Police found the two victims on Friday when they responded to a residence on Westford Street. The women were taken a hospital where they later died.
The Middlesex District Attorney's office and Lowell Police said on Monday that one of the victims has been identified as 47-year-old Debra Souza, a Lowell resident.
The name of the second victim has not yet been released.
Investigators have ruled the case a double homicide and say the killings do not appear to be random.
No arrests have been made.
