Long Cold Stretch...

Pretty intense squall line pushing through now...along it, 50 mph winds are mixing down in the downpours.  Worst is almost over, however, as occlusion will be through by midnight and drier, less intense W/NW winds will take over.

500mb trough will be establishing itself through the next week or so.  This will lead to below average temps over the next several days.   Eventhough the trough will be spinning up lows capable of producing snow in this colder than normal airmass, it appears that at this time the storm track will remain south of us through the weekend.  Early next week there is a chance but right now the upper level trough will be cutting off directly over us so when and if it does capture the offshore storm it will swirl it north of us just giving us some snow showers or flurries.
